CBC Fremantle Private Bus Routes

CBC is excited to announce four private bus routes commencing in 2023. Detail of times and bus stops can be found by clicking on the links below.

Canning Highway Line

Servicing Salter Point, Como, Applecross, Alfred Cove, Attadale, Bicton and East Fremantle.

Rockingham Line

Servicing Baldivis, Rockingham, Beeliar, Coogee and South Fremantle.

Leach Highway Line

Servicing Shelley, Riverton, Rosmoyne, Bullcreek, Winthrop, Kardinya and Melville.

Aubin Grove Line

Servicing Aubin Grove, Hammond Park, Success, Bibra Lake, Coolbellup and White Gum Valley.

CBC Fremantle and BusWest/ATG have partnered with Transportme™ to provide an app-based ticketing system that easily allows funds to be topped up, bus tracking in real time, and notifications regarding delays or other issues.

Students use their Smartrider cards to tap on and off the bus, and the fare of $2.30 is deducted from their Transportme account. Funds can be added to their account quickly and easily by setting an auto top-up.

How to pay for tickets on a CBC bus:

  1. Download the Transportme™ Passenger app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Create an account with your own email and password on the app. Caregivers and students can have their own copies of the app.
  3. Once signed in, select Smartcard to set up one or more student cards. You will need the username and password that will be emailed by CBC to each caregiver. The operator is Australian Transit Group.
  4. Once logged into the Smartcard you can add funds through Stripe, set an auto top-up and view transactions.
  5. Receive notifications letting you know how far the bus is from your stop, and if there are delays or other issues. The buses are only visible in tracking when en-route, and you do not need to log in to the Smartcard to use this part of the app. To receive notifications, save Australian Transit Group as the favourite Operator in the app settings and turn on Push Notifications within the app and on your smart device.

Smartriders

All students are required to have a Smartrider when catching the private bus. 
Smartriders are issued to all new students in Years 7 to 12.

Replacement cards

Replacement Smartriders cost $10.  
Senior School students, please order a new card from Student Services.
Students will be able to catch the private bus while they wait for the arrival of their new/replacement card as the drivers can manually allocate the ride via their ticketing device.

Important note

Smartriders are used on both the private CBC buses and public transport, but funding for tickets comes from different sources. The Transportme™ Passenger app is used to pay for tickets on the private CBC buses only. Transperth is responsible for the public buses or trains.
